PCUV Events

This webinar will present the tools needed to communicate research, development and innovation through popular written and graphic pieces of our own generation, which reach the general public through magazines and blogs, as well as the social networks of the research team or company.

After a brief introduction on how to face communication according to the format -written or audiovisual-, the workshop will offer the keys to organize and propose the writing of informative texts, such as articles and columns. After that, the characteristics and style of the most popular social networks for the popularization of science will be explained: Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook.
 
SPEAKERS

The professionals who will give this workshop are journalists Anna Mateu, editor-in-chief of Mètode magazine, and Beatriz Pérez, audience developer at The Conversation. Mateu, who has a degree in Journalism and a PhD in Communication from the University of Valencia, is a journalist specializing in science and the environment. Currently she also collaborates in the science section of the magazine El Día À Punt de À Punt Radio. On the other hand, Beatriz is a specialist in the generation of digital contents and their diffusion in social networks.

This is the fourth and last training workshop of the Comunica-Innova [tion] Project promoted by the Fundació Parc Científic Universitat de València, with the support of the Conselleria de Innovació, Universitats, Ciència i Societat Digital, to provide PCUV members with communication tools.
