Research and innovation in biotechnology, medicine and healthcare

Two out of ten companies installed in the Science Park develop products and/or services for Biotechnology and Medicine and Health. 15 of them make up the main nucleus of the BIOregion of the Comunitat Valenciana (Bioval). In addition, one of the most outstanding public collections of microorganisms in Europe is located here: la Colección Española de Cultivos Tipo (CECT).

With the generation of more than 250 qualified jobs, Biotechnology and Medicine and Health are two strategic sectors of business development for the Science Park. The knowledge generated in this field by the research institutes of the University of Valencia attracts the constant arrival of companies in an environment of innovation, where proximity to scientific services and business cooperation are indisputable values ​​for growth and progress.
