INTEGRAL RESEARCH GROUP (IRG)

(Industry and Nanotecnology)

Introduction

The Integral Research Group (IRG) is born from the union of medical professionals, product engineers and service designers in identifying a market opportunity in improving existing products. After years of research on plastic materials and graphene technology on nanoparticles, different products were born such as the "tG-D Thermoplastic Graphene Disc", specially designed for permanent dental structures. The product they offer is based on injection thermoplastic with incorporation of graphene technology, which "revolutionizes the mechanical, physical, chemical and biological properties of the most used material in dentistry: acrylics based on PMMA".

The information contained in this company profile has been provided by the company itself and the Science Park of the University of Valencia Foundation is not responsible for its content.

Technology offer

Technical Specifications

The incorporation of graphene derivatives in thermoplastics is a methodology developed by IRG Dental, which allows materials to improve their mechanical and physico-chemical properties. The thermoplastics obtained with this treatment are:

MECHANICAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • High yield point
  • High resistance to deformation and fatigue limit, preventing the formation of cracks
  • High impact resistance
  • High abrasion resistance, increases hardness and prevents wear

PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • High glass transition temperature
  • Improvement of dimensional stability
  • Lower density than conventional discs
  • High electrical conductivity
  • Radiopaque capacity
  • High transparency translucent material
  • Fully waterproof and stable material

CHEMICAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • Chemically inert
  • Insoluble in oral fluids
  • Does not allow the phenomenon of bimetallism

BIOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • Not irritating or toxic
  • It is anti-allergic
  • Is bacteriostatic

Technology Applications

The first application of the technology developed by IRG is intended for the dental sector, specifically for the improvement of dental prostheses with grafene-enriched PMMA discs; this is why IRD (Integral Dental Research) was born. Graphene-nanorinforced biopolymer discs are particularly suitable for permanent dental structures, which provide an extremely natural aesthetic appearance, in addition to solving all mechanical deficiencies, the other materials used in the sector. IRG is the marketing company for products incorporating graphene compounds in various industrial sectors.
